Broadcast journalism demands a special set of skills and knowledge different from the print journalism as broadcast copy is written to be read out loud by a news reader rather than read silently the words. As the news business moves more rapidly from the printed newspaper to electronic news, demand will grow for students equipped for broadcast journalism in politics, science and technology, health, entertainment and sports.
